Bringing theoretical concepts to life through practical applications, Biotech society aims to give insights into the fundamental processes of biotechnology. In a recent experiment related to the gene extraction in seeds, they learned in depth about the processes required to complete such practical and moving forward, to further increase the accuracy of their results, they plan to connect with the lab technicians to learn about the exact seed origins and storage conditions. These hands-on activities not only enhance understanding but also create memorable learning experiences for all participants.
Moreover, Biotech society places great importance in teaching students about important technologies like CRISPR and methodologies such as gene therapy, where genes are extracted and inserted into different organisms. These presentations and discussions enable students to grasp complex biotechnological concepts and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field.
One of BioTech Society’s proudest achievements is its participation in the National BioTech Challenge. This national competition challenges students to demonstrate their knowledge of biotechnology through problem-solving tasks and debate competitions on critical biotech issues. The society’s team has ranked among the top five, showcasing not only their passion and commitment but also the strong camaraderie among members.
